If you enjoy the grand old game of golf and appreciate real, challenging courses on your doorstep then you simply must come to Howth. We've even got a branch of the world famous McGurk's golf shop should you need a few tees or maybe a new set of clubs at great value.

Howth peninsula itself is home to 3 golf courses of its own:

Deer Park (parkland) is a fine public course (pay and play) comprising an 18 hole course, 2 nine hole courses, a 12 hole par 3 course and an 18 hole pitch and putt course. The views are splendid as is the value and clubs and buggies can be hired on the day.

Private golf clubs are the hilly and challenging Howth Golf Club (parkland) and Sutton Golf Club (links) which is a charming, fairly flat 9 hole links course located on the edge of Burrow beach. Both of these clubs welcome visitors with a golf handicap. Clubs cannot be hired here.

Within a 10 minute drive of Howth are some of the world's great links courses-legendary Portmarnock and Royal Dublin (both home to the Irish Open) not to mention the recently rebuilt St. Anne's and Bernhard Langer designed Portmarnock Golf and Country Club.
If you're driving further afield there are literally dozens of beautiful courses within an hours drive of Howth to whet the appetite and test the mettle of both the seasoned pro or the good time hacker.

After all its only a game!
